Catch SEO mistakes before Google does
One stray noindex or robots.txt line can wipe out your traffic overnight. SEODevil checks your key pages on a schedule and alerts you the moment something important changes.
How it works
- 1
Pick the pages to watch
Your homepage is always included. On paid plans, add your most important pages: pricing, top landing pages, key categories.
- 2
SEODevil takes a baseline
The first check records each page's status, indexing directives, canonical, title, description, H1 and content size, plus your robots.txt.
- 3
Every check is compared
When something changes, you get an alert showing the value before and after.
- 4
Alerts where you work
Critical, high and medium alerts go to your email and, if you add one, a Slack channel.
What SEODevil watches for
Alerts are ranked by how much damage the change can do:
- Critical: a page stops loading, a noindex appears, the canonical starts pointing to another domain, or robots.txt starts blocking all crawlers
- High: a page starts redirecting somewhere else, its canonical URL changes, or its title tag disappears
- Medium: canonical tag removed, meta description or H1 removed, visible content drops sharply, robots.txt changes or stops loading
- Low (in the dashboard only): titles and descriptions edited, problems resolved
Good to know
- Monitoring checks the pages you choose, not every URL on your site. Use it for the pages that bring in most of your traffic or revenue.
- Slack alerts use an incoming webhook URL from your Slack workspace.

Frequently asked questions
Why would a page suddenly get noindex?
The usual causes are a staging setting that reaches production, a WordPress "Discourage search engines" checkbox, an SEO plugin update or a template change. All of them are easy to miss until traffic drops, which is why SEODevil treats a new noindex as critical.
Is SEO monitoring free?
Yes, the Free plan monitors your homepage once a day. Pro and Agency plans monitor up to 25 URLs per site every hour.
