Fix WordPress SEO issues automatically
Connect your WordPress site once. When an audit flags a missing title, meta description or image alt text, SEODevil writes the fix, you review it, and one click applies it to your site.
How it works
- 1
Connect with an Application Password
Create an Application Password in your WordPress profile and paste it into SEODevil. It's stored encrypted and only ever sent to your own domain.
- 2
Preview the fix
For each flagged issue, SEODevil shows the current value next to a new one written by AI for that specific page. Edit it as much as you like.
- 3
Apply and verify
SEODevil writes the change, reads it back from WordPress to confirm it saved, then re-checks the live page. The task is only marked done if the issue is really gone.
- 4
Undo in one click
Every change keeps the previous value, so you can restore it at any time.
What it can fix
Auto-fix covers the issues that are most common on WordPress sites and safest to change automatically:
- Missing, too short or too long title tags (through Yoast SEO or Rank Math)
- Missing or badly sized meta descriptions (through Yoast SEO or Rank Math)
- Images with missing or non-descriptive alt text (saved on the media library item)
Why the fixes stick
The changes are written through the WordPress REST API into the same fields your SEO plugin uses, so they are in the page's HTML for every visitor and crawler, including AI bots that don't run JavaScript. Nothing is injected with a script.
WordPress silently ignores some fields if they aren't registered, so SEODevil always reads the value back after writing it. If a write didn't stick, you'll see that instead of a false success.
Good to know
- Yoast SEO and Rank Math don't expose their title and description fields to the REST API by default. SEODevil detects this and gives you a short code snippet to add once, after which fixes work normally.
- Alt text is saved on the media library item. Images pasted into post content with their own alt attribute keep that attribute, so the live check may say "not confirmed" for those.
- SEODevil never needs your WordPress login password, only an Application Password you can revoke at any time.

Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to give SEODevil access to my WordPress site?
SEODevil uses a WordPress Application Password, which you can revoke from your profile at any time without changing your login password. It's stored encrypted and only sent to the domain you're auditing. Changes are only made when you click apply, and each one can be undone.
Does it work with Yoast SEO and Rank Math?
Yes. SEODevil writes titles and meta descriptions into Yoast SEO or Rank Math fields. Both plugins need a one-time snippet to make those fields editable through the REST API, and SEODevil gives you the exact code.
What about sites that aren't on WordPress?
If your site's code is on GitHub, SEODevil can open a pull request with the fix instead. For any other platform, the AI fix generator writes the code for you to paste.
